Robot Painting ver. 2.02 The new robot painting has moved into its next phase with this great detailed sketch. Click on it for a better view. We've been calling this particular painting "The Conquerors" but we're definitely open to title suggestions. If you have one, the comment board is open. As usual, you can check out Eric Joyner's portfolio right here. And don't forget his new online store which offers affordable posters and other goodies featuring his coolest paintings! I don't understand the whole doughnut thing. Wouldn't it make more sense for the flag to have a gear or screw or something? Posted by: Mr. Cognito at

Sometimes sense is overrated. Posted by: Steve at

As the digital world consists of two states - Zeros and Ones - to my mind the design on the flag is a digit rather than a donut. Based on that assumption I'd suggest a title based on a geeky programming reference ( like 'set bit flag = 0') so how about 'Victory Status : Zero' ? Posted by: Doug at

I really like that I/O Jima idea. Take it and run with it! Posted by: Dane at

the only reason there is a donut is because all of the lovely Eric Joyner's paintings have one.... or all the robot ones have one... something along those lines Posted by: Sary at

How about "RUR: Rossum's Usurping Robots" Posted by: Frac at

I believe Steves Missus said there should be a donut in the previous painting, and the theme has been continued. Check the other painting information to confirm. I can't be bothered. Posted by: AngelCat at

Eric has been putting donuts in his paintings for a long time, you can see them on his site. My wife only asked that there be one in the Rock 'Em Sock 'Em painting, too. Posted by: Steve at

It's hard to top I/O Jima. All I can come up with is "Robo Jima," "Ore is Hell," "War is H.A.L." or "Victory for the Doughboys." Get it? 'Cuz doughboys were soldiers... and then there's a donut... and... and... then... never mind [hangs head and kicks rock on ground] Posted by: chocky at
